About Mrs. Riedel

Picture
Hello and welcome to our class site!  My name is Michelle Riedel!  I am entering into my 6th year as an Art Teacher and my second year teaching at Alcester-Hudson. I  am beyond blessed to have found a career that I love so much! I enjoy spending my days creating and sharing with others. I taught Art for the past 4 years at Crestwood Elementary and Junior High schools in Cresco, IA.  I have also taught studio Art classes and camps at the Octagon, Hearst, and Art Haus Art Centers. The Arts are a huge part of our family. My husband Grant and I met in an Art class at the University of Northern Iowa. Our daughter Raegan will be 3 this September!. As a family we try spend a lot of our time creating in our home studio spaces.

Our little family moved from our Iowa home to Vermillion, South Dakota last year to start a new adventure. My husband Grant is in the process of getting his Ph.D in English and teaching at the University of South Dakota

We are also beyond excited that we will be welcoming our baby boy into the world this December!
